Playing different music on separate speakers

Hi all, im having trouble playing different music on different speakers.
We 2 pebble minis, 1 x smart speaker and 1 x hub.
The problem I have is, for instance, I may be playing music from my Spotify account on one pebble speaker  with no issues, my daughter then goes off to play music on her pebble speaker (in a different room) via Spotify and it cuts me off. We can’t play different music (or even the same music) through our speakers at the same time?
I have an Spotify individual 1  account.
Do I need to upgrade my Spotify? Use a different provider or is there something I need to change on my app without changing or upgrading my music provider?

I hope that has made sense?
With thanks x

As long as you're both using separate Spotify accounts it should work. (I know you get family accounts, but those still use separate email addresses to my knowledge).

Are you both starting the music by verbal command to the speaker, or via casting from your phone/tablet?

Thanks so much for your reply. We only have the one Spotify account as she is only 10, and mainly use verbal but sometimes casting also.
Is it because of the Spotify account then? Do you think a family account would solve this problem?
thanks again

I'm pretty sure you do need 2 separate Spotify accounts to do 2 separate music streams but hopefully someone else here can confirm that (or maybe you can ask on any Spotify forum).

If your phones can each play something separate at the same time, I think the speakers have Bluetooth? You could try playing to the speakers by Bluetooth instead of using WiFi Casting (Casting is what happens with verbal commands or starting it via the Spotify app)
