After months of working, wifi points can no longer be added to speaker groups. What happened?
Voice said "It seems your video devices are offline", which was completely misleading.
After hours of testing and resetting, I finally figured out that my groups weren't working.
In bedroom I have a stereo pair plus a wifi point. Google doesn't allow commands like "play music on all speakers in bedroom. So I created a group. It worked for months. No longer.
Similarly in Living room.
UPDATE:
I did a full reset on my speakers and the network.
Recreated speaker pairs. Home app showed no groups.
I recreated my groups: I can see the groups in the individual device settings BUT NOT on the bottom of the main page where they used to be?? Group does not show up on settings for any speaker pair.
I can refer to groups by voice or routines and that works, BUT the music playing DOES NOT show up the Home app Media page??
Some Update from Google has totally screwed up groups.
UPDATE
The saga continuesSo I rebooted the paired speakers and wifi point.
Also forced stop on my home app and YT Music app.
That seemed to fix everything and for the first time groups actually show up as options for casting in the YT Music app. and the Home APP media tab!!!!
However I can only actually cast to one of the three groups.
For the other 2, I try to cast from the YT app, the speakers all beep, then I have to click the play button on YT Music(why?) but no sound comes out. The media tab in the home app says the music is playing on the speakers in the group. The YT app says its playing in the correct group when I click on the cast icon BUT it says "No media selected"????
