Screen casting doesn't work anymore since last update.

Hello, since last update of the Home app, sreen casting doesn't work anymore. I still can cast via YouTube and other apps, but not via the home app, where the Tv screen  turns black. I use Android 10. After removing the tv (Chromecast )from the app, it can't be added again....

I used home for years....

Can this be solved?

  • Which model of Chromecast are you using? Here's a Google Help Center article that can help you identify your device: Chromecast and Google TV Streamer specifications.
  • What is the current color of the LED light on the Chromecast?
  • Are you receiving a specific error message in the Google Home app when you try to re-add the device?
  • When you removed the Chromecast, did you simply delete it from the app, or did you perform a full factory reset on the device itself?
  • Which version of the Google Home app are you currently using?
  • Is your smartphone’s operating system fully up to date?
  • Could you please check if "Power Saving Mode" is enabled on your smartphone?
  • Are your Chromecast and smartphone connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network?
  • Is the Chromecast plugged into a USB port on the TV or directly into a wall power outlet?
  • How far is the Chromecast from your router?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your router settings?
