I tried to initialize a nest Hub in my dads old peoples home, this is initiated from the Google Home App on my android phone. The procedure worked in my home, but not in the old peoples home.
The institution provides the Wifi network name and the wifi key, but the setup process does not work.
I suspect that the Wifi router in the old people's home is setup to block communication between devices on the Wifi network and that this is a security rule which is not negotiable. So when the Google home App on my phone, tries to communicate the info to the nest hub, it just doesn't work.
1. What do you think of my theory ?
2. Is there a way to enter the Wifi network name and the Wifi key, directly on the nest hub ?
