Hi !

I have my nest hub for month and it doesn't record my sleep.

Calibration works and the sleep recording is activated but nothing in fit or in home...

What can i do ?

Thanks in advance

Jeremy

Hi Jeremyj,

Thanks for posting.

If calibration works and still won't work, let's take a look if these things are checked:

  • Note: Since Sleep Sensing monitors the spot you usually sleep, children, pets, and other family members sleeping in that spot will affect your data.
  • Device placement, motion, and other devices nearby might lead to inaccurate readings.
  • If someone nearby coughs or snores while Sleep Sensing is on, this feature might process and attribute those sounds to you.
  • Please make sure you inform people nearby that Sleep Sensing on your Nest Hub might process their sounds, and get their permission before you turn it on.

Let me know if there are any changes made.

Hello Jeremyj,

May i know which country are you from? I have also tried to set up sleep sensing in my Nest Hub 2nd gen, however, there was no sleeping data gathered after a month using it. I can't even make my Motion Gesture to work even after so many troubleshootings steps were made.

I did some research and found out that it is limited to which country you are located. I am in The Philippines, and unfortunately it doesn't work in our country (hopefully soon). Maybe it is the same in your country. I chatted customer care to confirm it and they even don't know it until i told them the possibility that it doesn't work in my country. And after several minutes on hold, they finaly confirmed it. Too bad for you and me.

Hi,

I'm in France which is hopefully one country where it work.

After tchatting on twitter with Google and making some test, the hard reset solved my problem.

Hello Jeremyj,

Wow! That's great news! Glad it worked on you. Unfortunately, not in my country, i guess i have to deal with it until it will be available in my country. And hopefully my 2nd Nest Hub device won't get the same screen burn issue that my 1st device have experienced 😞

I have read a lot of issues like this in this community page. You can search "burn in screen or ghosting effect" , for future reference. Maybe i am just so unfortunate with google devices. LOL. I might switch to Alexa.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts as well as the steps you have tried.

@Jeremyj, glad to know that it's already working. Let me know if I can assist you with anything else, feel free to respond to this thread.

@mvtuico, sorry to hear about what you are experiencing with your Google Nest display. Could you please start a new thread so we can further discuss this as this is a totally different topic. That way, we can address this and also get some help from others who are also experiencing this display issue. Looking forward to that!
