Tried rebooting and unplugging all first gen home speakers (mini, home, and hub). Every time I say Hey Google (to any of them), it says something went wrong. Try again in a few seconds. Or there was a glitch. Try again in a few seconds. This has been going on for a couple months now. I'm pretty annoyed. Should I factory reset all (9) of them?

Ok.  Just so you know...I am an idiot when it comes to any of this web/wireless/internet stuff.  I am strictly a plug-and-play kinda girl(.)! 😁

What I can tell you is I've TRIED EVERYTHING (if you read up to my original post) and the ONLY solution for me that actually worked and (so far) continues to work, was to get a NEW router & modem from my Internet Provider.  YOUR Router is the thing that traffics your internet to your laptops, tv, etc and the Modem "brings the internet "into" your home" from them (I guess).  I believe everyone has a Router and a Modem.  Call your provider and if they provide your equipment there is NO charge to trade in your router & modem for the newest available.  IF you purchase your own modem & router you'd have to get a newer version or just a different brand.  Apparently some routers are NOT compatible with google nest hub.  MY specific router was called a "Sagemcom FAST5280" (it's name is on the back near the plug).  My specific router is NOT compatible thus causing "there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" issue.

Did your devices never work on the old router? If so than this advice likely does not apply to many of us. I've had the same router since August and the devices didn't start malfunctioning until November.

Yes.  My devices DID ALL work.  In fact, I thought it was my my nest/hub device so back in May 2021 (when my first generation Google hub started giving me the glitch), I bought a newer (2nd generation hub).  The new one worked immediately for about 3 full months then suddenly it started happening again.  Mind you, I had the exact SAME router and modem so I found this odd.  Also, yes it worked for 3 months but being honest here I don't know exactly how often we used it either.  It was summer and we were away a lot.   Anyway,  I tried resetting, moving the hub, resetting again, and again, unplugging it for days, etc I only had "temporary" fixes for like a day or two and it would go right back to the glitch!  I gave up and we all just used it and learned to wait and repeat the question/command.  I called my internet provider, they come out to the house and couldn't figure out the issue either.  They even changed how I signed in and moved the hub over to the 2gb option and STILL glitched.  I called Google for help and they told me to do everything I already did except to replace the modem/router (which was my final resolve and has worked since I did it)!  I still am a bit angry though.  Google should not assume that everyone has enough tech skills and experience to know that their products might not be compatible with our equipment.

So, you think Google updated something that made your router incompatible? Since it was clearly compatible at first.

Good question!  I really do not know but it just seems odd that this came on suddenly!

I have 2 Sony TV's with Google TV operating systems and both TVs shout out "Something went wrong, try again in a few seconds" randomly. Most recently at 4am last night. It seems like Google would have a software update to solve the issue. We've had the tvs less than 30 days and have decided to return them both. It sucks because the sound and display is great, but I can't deal with the top volume announcements in the middle of the night. We've called both Sony and Best Buy to see if they had any insight, but wasn't able to resolve anything. The TV screen never powers on when this announcement goes off. Super weird.

I AGREE with you on that!  Google (you'd think) would provide an update to make it stop doing that annoying "glitch" issue!  Mine was going off randomly while we were slipping even saying that (scared the sh*t out of me at 3 am).  So far though, since getting an updated Modem and Router (3 weeks) NO "glitch" message...WooWhoooo!

I have a speaker and a hub, and an Alexa device in relatively close proximity, and everything worked fine for a year, until about 2 months ago.  at first only the speaker was giving me the "hmm something went wrong" crap but as of 2 weeks ago the hub is also doing it.   i can literally just immediately ask either of them the same request and they work fine.  the Alexa ALWAYS works fine.   Google you need to fix this.
