Speaker Stops Streaming, volume issues, command issues

The past week or so I've been having a plethora of issues with my google speakers (we have several). You tell one to stop streaming, it stops but then just randomly starts. This morning it won't continue a stream from tune in for more than two minutes. When it does work, you'll be listening to a song and it'll skip back and reply 20 or 30 seconds worth of content. This morning the volumes all. Magically decided to move to 100%. Nice wake up. Anyone else having similar issues?

Hi chase84,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: which Nest speakers? Were there any recent changes made before the issue started? What steps have you tried so far?

You can reboot your Nest speaker and WiFi router to refresh both devices and WiFi signal.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi Juni,

There have not been any changes made to my network or ISP.

My network auto reboots once a week at 5am so that is a non-issue. I run pfSense and an Unifi 6 LR AP. This has all been running for 2 years without issue. Just for whatever reason, the speakers so as they please. Is particularly the ones in a audio group. I tell it to stop, they do and then randomly are starting again. I have restarted all of the speakers as well. I have the following 4 devices in the audio group:

- Google Home mini

-Chromecast Audio

- Nest Mini

- Google Home

Thanks,

Matt

Hi there,

Thanks for the response. You can go ahead and delete the audio group, then do a full reset. Once done and  they are set back up, create a new speaker group and observe if this will fix it.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

It's still an issue. Earlier this evening, I told the speaker to stop streaming from tune in on the kitchen speaker. After 5 or 10 minutes, it started again. Not even on an audio group.

Has there been any recent updates done to the speakers, especially regarding tune in? The issue is specific to tune in.
