Speaker thinks I want to play a band called "The Next" instead of the next song

All my Google/Nest Minis have had this crazy issue for the last few weeks.  When I say "OK Google, next song" or "OK Google, next" or even "OK Google, skip this song" it cheerily replies "OK, playing 'The Next' on Youtube Music" then switches over to some alt rock band I've never heard of.

Any idea what to do here?  Is there some other way to skip songs?  Do I need to just accept my fate and become a big fan of this random band, The Next?

Any suggestions or magical incantations would be much appreciated.

That sounds so annoying. 😑

I just tested and did not have that issue. Saying "next" worked as it should.

Try reinstalling the Google Home app on your phone. Reboot your router and Mini. If the simple reboot doesn't help then do a factory reset to your Mini.
