Spotify on Google Home playing wrong playlist

Hi,

I have a Google Assistant routine that sends a specific command in text "Play Discover Rutzheim on Bathroom speaker" and it worked for the last 2 years and it always played the exact playlist from Spotify.

One week ago this stopped working, it now starts to play other random playlists that have nothing to do with mine. I have not changed anything in my setup. Note that the playlist is private, but again it has been working for the last 2 years, and just stopped now.

Are there any issues with the spotify <-> Google connection? Please fix this.

:Thanks,

Peter

I use "Cast Michael's Top 1000 playlist Spotify on My Bedroom Display"

Hi everyone,

Thanks for sharing that idea, SmartHomeH-TAGS.

aredos, I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s get it sorted out. Unlink and relink your Spotify account from the Google Home app.

  • Open the Google Home app > Settings.
  • Tap Music.
  • Choose “No default provider” > Unlink Spotify.
  • Force close and reopen the Google Home app > Relink your Spotify account.
  • Reboot your Google Nest Audio device by unplugging its power cord for a minute > Ask it to play your playlist again.
  • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset and set it up.

Regards,
Alex
