It’s been asked, but never really answered. I have read previous posts, so please don’t repeat the ‘advice’ on those.
I would like to stop my nest from confirming the completion of every command. It’s annoying and unnecessary unless you’re blind.
I don’t need to hear “CRAFT ROOM LIGHT ON” in a loud voice or any other confirmation. I don’t need to hear it’s turned on the radio, I can hear that for goodness sake.
thanks

How to mute the responses from a Google Mini.
To mute TuneIn introductions, input a couple of delays between volume changes.
Mute always or just for some Automations...

Thank you for that, does this affect playing the radio or is it only announcements? Eg I don’t want to have to reset it every time I want to use the nest as a speaker?

You're welcome.
As shown in the video the speaker's volume controls everything.
The hack just allows the speaker to go below the normal 10% announcement level.
The only strange thing that happens with this is if the speaker loses power it will mute its volume by default. But with just a tap or two the volume returns.
