Time Zone fix cannot change time.

My Hub 2 device is showing the wrong time zone. We live in an area close to the Pacific time zone but our city is in Mountain Time Zone.

When you go to the settings on the Nest Hub 2, there is no ‘Time Zone’ setting, only ‘Time Format’. This is the first thing I checked before even looking at the forums for help. I tried changing my address to Utah which is  Mountain Time still to no avail. 

This is not an issue isolated from my device. I have read the forums. This has been an ongoing issue for some time.

This is a very serious issue and if you cannot fix this, I will require a refund for all my devices and it will force me to move to a new ecosystem. It seems Google ignores customer complaints and has not addressed this issue in the past.

Hey Realdealz,

 

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with your Nest Hub showing the incorrect time, I'm sure it's frustrating but I'm happy to help. 

 

If you follow the below steps, you should be able to fix this.

  1. Find the assistant settings by clicking on your profile picture in the upper right hand corner. You may need to be on cellular data.
  2. Go to “you” and then “your places” and make sure your address with the time zone you want is correct.
  3. Next, either click on a notification on the main screen for “set up home and away routines” and follow the prompts or go to them directly via the assistant settings again under “routines”.
  4. Confirm your location while setting up presence sensing. You will have to allow the app to run in the background and use your location also.
