Timer incorrect on Google nest

Does anyone notice that when they ask Google to set a timer it's incorrect? I am currently doing some rehab which means I have to stretch for 30 seconds. I started to notice some 30 seconds felt longer than others. So to test it out I used the stop watch on my phone and I've had some "30 seconds" as long as 47 seconds and some as short as 21 seconds.

Hi Smackie,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that after testing your Google Nest Mini timer, you found that when you ask Google to set a timer, it’s incorrect. Thanks for letting us know that you were able to check this out when you used the stopwatch on your phone, and you’ve had 30 seconds as long as 47 seconds and some as short as 21 seconds. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • What is the model of your Google Nest Mini?
  • Are you using an Android or iPhone mobile device to set up your Google Nest Mini?
  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • How far from the router is your Google Nest Mini?
  • Could you please double-check if your Google Nest Mini is connected to a WiFi network on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band?
  • Could you please check if there are wireless interference like walls and floors, nearby WiFi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment?
  • Have you tried to reboot the Google Nest speaker to resolve the inconvenience?
  • What's the Google Mini firmware version?

Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna
