Unable to play on demand songs using nest mini

Hi I have just activated YouTube premium so I can play on demand songs via my nest mini. 

I’ve checked and make sure my Google home account is the same as my YouTube account. I have selected YouTube music as default, I can even see under the option YouTube music, it is said ‘YouTube music premium membership activated’

 

however, when I asked Google to play XXX song, it always tells me ‘choosing songs is only available with YouTube music premium..’ and then play me some random song from station instead. 

what do I do now? Many thanks.

Hi EthanW,

 

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s get this sorted out. In the Google Home app > Devices, do you see your Google Nest Mini in a room or under “Other Cast/Local Devices”? If the latter, move your Google Nest Mini to a room. Tap on your Google Nest Mini device icon. At the bottom is an option to add to a room. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset and set it up again.
