I just bought nest hub 2nd gen. All my smart devices are detected through the google home application, including the IP camera via Smart Life account that is already linked to google home.
But when I click the camera to display the view, there's a notification displayed "unable to process commands for the (ip cam name)", with voice commands, the reply is also the same.
Please help and advice, because my main reason to buy the nest hub is to view the IP cam in my house.

Hi Muddi,
My camera brand is Robolife IP camera.
I can't stream that particular camera through google home, while using the app always works for streaming. (this camera can use either Smart Life app or its own original app (Robolife app) for streaming and controlling)
Even though, I've checked the list of camera that works for streaming video from the Nest display, and Tuya Smart/Smart Life is included in the list. (Tuya and Smart Life is the same thing)
So I contact Google support care, and after checking the compatibility the support officer gave me this briefing as a possible answer.
"In this case your Google Nest Hub is trying to pull up the video of your camera using the Google assistant software and it seems like the command is not available for the Tuya smart app and devices that are connected through there. The Tuya smart app does not looks to have a command programmed to show cameras on Google assistant enabled devices."
But after that, the support officer still guided me to check step by step other possibilities,
After everything I've done but it hasn't worked, then the theory mentioned earlier by the support officer can be justified. That Robolife probably hasn't updated their camera displayed-related commands yet. I have also reported this issue to Robolife via their feedback page.
Besides that, I also bought another camera with the BARDI brand. I bought the add-ons they provide to activate the google assistant feature. After the add-ons are active, the camera can be streamed via Google Home and Nest Hub Display. Very smooth process without any hindrance 😉
In conclusion, looks like I should move on to BARDI 😅

Kwon

hi mike, thank you for the suggestions. I really appreciate it.
I've tried what you suggested, but it didn't work. I contacted google customer care directly regarding this issue, and I was enlightened. I will discuss in my next reply.

Hey kwon88im,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I appreciate @MikeClarkfor helping here.
I know how important it is for you to be able to stream your camera on the Google Nest Hub. To confirm, are you able to stream the camera from the Smart Life and Google Home app? Have you checked with Smart Life if it's possible to stream the camera on a third-party device like Nest Hub? What is the specific model of your camera?
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi kwon88im,
Thanks for sharing. I'm happy to know that the other camera is streaming on the Nest Hub. It looks like your Robolife IP camera doesn't support voice control features and is not available to stream to a third-party devices like the Nest Hub.
It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
Cheers,
Muddi
