Just unboxed my new google nest 2nd gen and was working through the tutorial and swipe from right to left doesn't work.  It keep asking if I wanted to resume the tutorial and only showed the photograph.

Hi there,

Please check that you have all the requirements for this device and then try following the Google Nest help center instructions linked below. If you still have issues please let us know what step you got to and more information about the mobile device that you are using the Google Home app on.

Hi MichelleLaurie,

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: have you followed the steps on the link above? If so, how was it? In addition, you could change your phone's language to US-EN for now and see if the set up will push through.

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for helping, Cathal_S.

Best,

Dan
