Using Nest across countries

My elderly mother in law is going to another country and we are wondering if we had a nest smart speaker in our home and one in hers abroad, can we connect directly to it using Google Home and duo to have calls and sprak to her?

Excellent question! It depends on the country where your mother is. Please note that we can only guarantee the full functionalities of the Google Home/Nest devices on those countries where it is fully supported like the United States, Australia, UK, and many more. The feature may or may not work, just make sure that Google Duo is supported in the country and set the Assistant language to any English language.
