I want to change the password a google nest home and mini speaker use to connect to a Wi-Fi network with a new password! JUST want to change the password, not the network name. Do I really have to set the things up from scratch to do so? Seems like it. This is insane! I have two routers serving the network, old one with the old password, that needs to go away, and new one with the new password. Password needs to change for security reasons. They are still connected and reachable via the old router. If I forget their wi-fi connection, tons of work: https://support.google.com/googlenest/workflow/10522005?hl=en (for when the network name is changing...
There doesn't seem to be a support article for this situation I'm in?
Whilst I'd agree Google should improve the process required to update the Wi-Fi password on its suite of products, what you're asking for simply isn't possible with current Wi-Fi standards and protocols.

Unfortunately, you usually have to do a factory reset to connect a Google Nest device to a new Wi-Fi network.
