What verbal command will make Google speaker play sleep sounds (sleep)?

Sousa

If I ask "google to play sleep sounds", google will play sleep sounds randomly, sometimes is river, sometimes is ocean. If I ask "google play sleep sounds sleep" the same thing.

What do I have to say for google to play this:

Hey Sousa,

Thanks for reaching out — let me help you with that.

Cathal_S, thanks for the information.

Here's an additional command you can use:

To do this:                                                                         Say "Okay Google" or "Hey Google" then:

Listen to an unspecified ambient sound                    "Help me relax"
                                                                                            "Play ambient noise"

Listen to a specific ambient sound                                "Play fireplace sounds"
                                                                                             "Play river sounds"
                                                                                            "Play forest sounds"
                                                                                            "Play white noise"

Hear other ambient sound options                              "What other ambient sounds do you know?"

Note: Ambient sounds will continue to play for 12 hours if not turned off.

Best,

Alex

From this post, I deducted that "sleep sounds list " is now "play  (name a sound) (example) 'river sounds'.  Sad that 'waterfall' cannot be found@

Hi Swanlist,

Thanks for the additional info. Let's try performing a complete reset to your Google Nest speakers to see of that would make any changes as soon as you command it to play other ambient sounds.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

Thankyou Princess, A little more help to get back my "waterfall" sounds.  I have learned that "Sleep sound list" doesn't work anymore. Now it is "play sleep sounds rain". for example.

But it will not play waterfall sounds.  I have misplaced reset instructions, but when I find them I will reset.  I will report back.  Perhaps 'waterfall' is under a different noun. Like 'falling water", maybe,  Sleep well, Swan

Hello Cathal,  Do enjoy 'water sounds".  When it was 'sleep sound list" it gave me choose of 'waterfall', it became my favorite. I will go through list to see if the sound has been renamed.

Thanks for reply, Swan
