When I request Google Assistant to play Release Radar playlist it plays a track called release radar

I have been listening to Release Radar on Spotify for several years now without issue by saying "OK/Hey Google, play Release Radar".

Recently it will only play the track "releaseradar" by December Sixth which is not what I want at all.

I have similar issues when asking Google to play Daily Mix 1/2/3 etc and Discover Weekly.

If I use Alexa there are no issues and my Spotify personal playlists always play on Echo devices.

I have "reached out" several times to Spotify and they don't want to help, just saying I should contact Google.

Same issue here, The issue isn't on the Spotify side as I borrowed an Echo dot from a neighbour for a couple of hours and Couldn't replicate the issue at all.  The issue seems to be the Google side picking the correct playlist from the available choices and always choosing one over the others.  Possibly as it's "most popular" now since everyone is playing the same one due to the bug, and now the AI thinks that's what we all want.

Some blame lies with Spotufy for allowing public playlists or albums with keywords that should be restricted, but if Amazon's smart speakers can pick the right thing, Google / Nest should be able to...

Yes I've pretty much given up with Google now, and bought an Echo Studio to replace my Google Home Max. As much as I love the Max, as it's one of the few smart speakers with a decent Sub and separate stereo speakers, it is just a dumb Bluetooth speaker without Google assistant working in tandem with Spotify. Alexa has no issues finding my Release Radar or other personal playlists. If and when it does, I will ditch my Spotify premium subscription and move to Amazon Music. The only thing stopping me is that I've tried Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer and YouTube Music but none seem to have the weekly updated equivalent of Release Radar, which always has good stuff on there as I follow many artists 😞.

Someone on the Spotify forums has noticed that this issue appears to be fixed!

I've had no update from either Google or Spotify to the incidents I raised, but they must have done something on their end.
