I learned due to copy right restrictions not all songs ( audio) that are uploaded in YOUTUBE are not eligible for playing in device that was meant to be mimicking RADIO ....hence this service is designed ONLY for Radio like service in which all sources must be identified and hence YOUTUBE is not part of this offering

Non display devices won't play YouTube without starting it from your phone. It will play YouTube Music by asking.

Non display devices - interesting . thanks ( i am sure this feature makes sense for those not subscribing to PREMIUM YOUTUBE because the ad must be seen ) . Since I am paying for Youtube premium  and since it can be initiated from phone ...why not nest mini initiate the audio same way on its own ..based on my premium subscription ( unless I am prevented from streaming audio in to my speakers for some legal reason ..why should nest mini voice commands have this limitation ? thanks a bunch

So essentially this is my question . How I can avoid these two manual steps combined into a simple command ? thanks

1. Start youtube app in  my phone

 2. stream the music to my speakers  of my choice ( I can do audio only devices ). A person like me will never stream AUDIO to display devices from mobile . I have very sophisticated TVS, ROKUS etc. that can play all kinds of media from all sites directly or in directly

Also, I am very familiar with why RADIO like streaming cannot be started using YOUTUBE due to copy right restrictions on the songs that are uploaded ( anybody can upload copyrighted songs....before its finally caught and removed  )  but it beats me if I can do something manually via phone why not via voice command into my nest mini speaker ? Why should GOOGLE treat this as a RADIO experience and introduce all complicated restrictions

No, if what you want is MUSIC, set Youtube Music as your default music service. It should be add free with your premium account.  You issue is that it seems you are trying to use Youtube not YTM.

exactly my friend . I am trying to use LIVE AUDIO streams in YOUTUBE that are not available in YOUTUBE music . So why am i restricted to use to only YOUTUBE music copyrighted labels to nest mini . if I can legally listen to LIVE stream from youtube app ..why not stream it to Nest mini ? thanks

I can go to desktop Chrome browser ( or mobile app )  - start any YOUTUBE content and stream it to NEST MINI Speakers irrespective of whether its available as YTM or not . Youtube music will never  do live streams or nor some content that not yet licensed from any known music labels ( but streaming music is continuous...and I guess the google engineers don't have a legal solution and hence made this limitation in their product )
