Hi, my daughters nest mini overheats. It gets really hot and we are worried about the fire risk This has just started happening. It is approximately 2 1/2 years old. It seems to be a bit of an issue apart from the fact it must be consuming more electricity to get this hot.

Hey musicmanning,
Thanks for reaching out
Please note that Google Nest Mini are built to operate between certain temperature thresholds. The temperature range can sometimes cause the device to become warm to the touch, based on how the device is used and how it operates. The recommended operating ambient temperature range for the speakers, along with the bundled power adapter, is between 0°C (32°F) and 35°C (95°F).
If the device temperature is higher than normal, please unplug your speaker from the power outlet and move it to a cooler (or warmer) location and wait a few minutes before you try to use it again. Rest assured that the device has been tested under high performance conditions and that device temperatures are well within the safety limits provided by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), in order to pass regulatory requirements.
Keep us posted!
Thanks,
Alex
