I just got a google nest and it connects to local devices (my family's devices) how do I isolate it so it can't/doesn't see them and they cant see it?

Did you install your Nest Hub in the Google Home app using your own Google Account and in a Google Nest "home/structure" other than the Google Nest "home/structure" containing your family's Google Nest devices?

Yeah, it's setup on my Google account and in a separate "home" from the rest

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but it seems logical that if your Nest Hub is set up on YOUR Google Account and in a separate Google Nest "home", it should be separate from your family's Google Nest "home". If you go to Settings | Household when connected to YOUR Google Nest "home" in the Google Home app, are there any members besides yourself?
I've never tried this; maybe Google Nest's security setup is not very good.

Hi lunathompson,
Thanks for posting.
I understand what you’re trying to say. As long as all your devices are on the same account and same Wi-Fi network, your device cannot be isolated, especially if the other members of your family have their own Google Home app.
I hope this answers your questions.
Best,
Dan
