My Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) won't connect to my YouTube Music account. It keeps telling me to try again when ready. It still tells me the time and will play noises like rain sounds, but no music. This is the third Nest Mini I've had to replace, and I wonder why I keep buying them if they only last a year!

The issue seems to be related to connectivity. Are there recent internet issues in your home area?

As with most issues, initially checking the conditions might help. Please, let's check:

  • Do you experience this difficulty with YouTube only, or are there more apps with a similar response?

  • Are you using one YouTube account only?

  • Is the same email address linked to both your Google Home app and your YouTube subscription?

  • Is YouTube the main and only music provider configured in your Google Home app?

  • When did the issue begin? Are there events possibly related?
