photoframe won't show weather

Have just set up my google nest hub and chosen photoframe for the default screen. In the options/setting I have chosen time and weather but it will not show the weather only the time. Have tried toggling the option on and off. Weather shows correctly when I choose the clock face that includes weather but not on the photoframe. Not sure what else to try - hopefully not a reset after just setting it up?
