After a very frustrating 90 mins chatting with Google support to find out why I can’t ask it to play a radio station anymore, their last step was to have me create a new home and add my Google device to it.
It appears that the problem is related to the Google Home Settings.
Creating a new home and re-adding the devices seems to have resolved the issue. I’ve tested it with a Google Nest and a Lenovo Smart Clock. Both working normally now.
Good luck.

Incredibly frustrating but the fix is working.

Is this yet another instance where a defect on Google Nest's servers has corrupted a customer's Google Nest "home/structure"? In recent months, there seem to be an increasing number of cases. Other defects that require creating a new Google Nest "home/structure" are cases where customers can no longer install or reinstall Google Nest devices, customers cannot livestream their cameras from a Nest Hub Max, and Nest Hub Maxes continually reporting someone is monitoring the camera.
