"I'm not seeing a number for that contact"Vic

  • I just purchased a Nest Audio so that my 89 year old mom could make and receive hands free calls on her Jitterbug Smart 4 phone. I seem to get it all set up then my response from Hey Google is "I'm not seeing a number for that contact". I have turned on Personal Assist and sync'd contacts.  The only contacts on the phone thus far are those that I manually put in the phone, with the exception that somehow came over from Google. I really hope you can help so that my mother can reconnect with her family members.

Thanks for posting in the community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties making calls using your Nest Audio. I understand that feature is really important, and it can be frustrating when it isn't working as intended. Don't worry, let's work together to resolve this. To help me with that, I have some questions:

  • Is the contact saved to your Google Account or locally on your device?
  • Are you having issues calling all of your contacts or just some?
  • Can you call the number directly, rather than by asking Google Home, “Ok Google, call XXX-XXXX”?
  • Describe what happens after giving the command to dial the number.
  • Is it a domestic or international number?
