Back in November, Sling TV updated their Android app to the new User Interface. Since that time, when I cast from the sling app to Chromecast, my Android 10 phone crashes. (I am able to cast to Chromecast before the phone crashes). Once I restart the phone, it is usable again if I close the Sling app quickly.
I have seen numerous posts to the Google Play Sling review page with the same issue. I have reported this problem to Sling many times with no resolution. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Hello statlanta,
Thanks for reaching out. You can try to reinstall the Sling app on your phone or use a different mobile phone and try again.
If the issue is isolated when using the Sling app, it's still best to reach out to the app developer for further help.
Best,
Jennifer

Thanks for checking back on this. I have tried all the suggestions. The Sling android app works without crashing my old Android 8.1 phone. But it continues to make my Android 10 phone crash. There are other issues with Sling. (Particularly with the DVR) It seems that the android app just doesn't work well with Chromecast. (I can cast to chromecast from my windows 11 laptop with no problems). Sling is very slow to correct technical issues. The Customer service reps have told me that they have had numerous complaints like mine. They all seem to involve Chromecast. As much as I hate to, I may try Roku on one of our TVs and see if that is any better.

Hi statlanta,
Thanks for getting back to us. If it does work on an older OS version, there could be a compatibility issue of the Android 10 and Sling app. It would be best to send feedback about this to Sling so they can work on this in the future.
Let me know if you still have questions and concerns otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Best,
Jennifer
