We bought two new Chromecasts with Google TV HD in November of last year to upgrade from 2015 models. We switched out the devices, but, since day one, the new Chromecasts will get stuck buffering and stuttering regardless of which app we are using. The locations are exactly the same as the previous Chromecasts and they had no such issue. We've both restarted and reset them multiple times, have ensured the software was up to date to the device as well as our apps, tested the Internet speed, and force closed every app then opened only one and still the issue persists.
We have Google Fiber, so bandwidth is not an issue, and the Chromecast with Google TV device that was purchased in 2021 in our playroom has not had these same issues.
Is there a known fix to this *that is DIFFERENT than everything we have done and are repeatedly suggested in response to similar complaints* or did we receive faulty devices that can be exchanged for properly working ones?

I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that buffering issue? If not, I'd be happy to help, as this sounds pretty frustrating. In this case, with the troubleshooting you've already attempted, you may want to look at replacing those devices with new ones. If you've purchased the devices on the Google Store, here is how to replace them.

Shortly after posting this one of my new Chromecasts completely crashed and I had to force a manual reset. For a few days it seemed to work well, but the stuttering and buffering has started up again. The second Chromecast, in our office, has actually gotten worse, we even tried another reset and it was not successful. We are now planning to return them now, both were purchased on the Google store.
