I am also getting proper speed after the firmware update. The problem seems to be resolved.

The update is still not available for my device yet, and while i am waiting for the update, the network speed is abysmal. Don't know what to do 

How to force and update? I am still stuck with the old firmware!!

Still no response from google. This is unacceptable.
