Accidentally deleted Google account, recovered it but now having loads of problems

I was using a Samsung device for work &they wanted me to return it but asked me not to factory reset it,  to just remove my Google account,  I accidentally deleted my Google account from all my devices.

Managed to recover it but now my Google home app won't let me reconnect my nest doorbell battery, nest hub max (camera) & nest cam outdoor battery.

When I try ,it fails when trying to retrieve the password automatically saying "trouble connecting to Google  account ".

Have already factory reset doorbell.

All other smart  devices show up in home app ,although I never connected them after account recovery, but if I  try and create a group it says I don't have permission to do that on account #.

Hello Zig666,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Nest devices. I’d be happy to help you with this. Let’s check it out.

Please try troubleshooting the steps below and let me know how it goes.

  1. Check for Android OS updates and install them if there’s any.
  2. Uninstall the Google Home app.
  3. Restart the mobile device.
  4. Reinstall the Google Home app and sign in.
  5. Save any video history on the device, if any. Follow this guide.
  6. Unmount the devices and then connect them to the USB cable and power adapter, if applicable.
  7. Reset the devices to factory settings.
  8. Add the devices back to the Google Home app.
  9. Check if the issue persists. If yes, test on another mobile device, if available.

Keep me posted.

All the best,

Lance
