In Home App. I choose "Add device", New device, Doorbell, I try to scan the QR code, and App kicks me back to screen to

"Add Device".

Tried 5 times.

I do not get a check mark indicating the QR code was scanned.

Help?

Hi RoninCG,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest doorbell. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: what model of Nest doorbell do you haveWhat is the color of the status light?

Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Check for Android system updates and install them if there’s any.
  2. Uninstall the Google Home app.
  3. Restart the mobile device.
  4. Reinstall the Google Home app.
  5. If the status light isn’t pulsing blue, factory reset the doorbell.
  6. Open the Google Home app Google Home app
  7. Tap Devices Add New Device .
  8. Choose the home you want to add your doorbell to, or select Add another home to create a new one. Then, tap Next.
  9. The app will try to look for nearby devices. If prompted, select the device you want to set up.
  10. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell. You can also tap Continue without scanning and enter the numbers near the QR code.
  11. The app will help walk you through setup and installation.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Lance
