Android app has stopped working

hi there, my nest app has just stopped working.  I can't access cameras or thermostats at all, and it seems to have forgotten my "home" all together.

I can sign in and it says  something like.."you have set up your account now set up your home"  I click continue and it says "you have a home associated with google, choose which one to use",  I choose my home, click through the next screens, then it says "There was a problem while connecting to the nest service.  Try again in a few minutes"    It has been 2 days.  Galaxy S22.  I also tried logging into website(chrome browser), but the same issue happens.  I have uninstalled the app and re-downloaded but the issue is the same.

Your circumstances seem contradictory. On the one hand, the most likely reason you would not see any Google Nest devices and get a message reading "I can sign in and it says something like..." is if you inadvertently logged on with the wrong email address, but then it's asking you to choose a "home".

You might want to contact Support instead:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
