My wife changed her email and now I can not invite her to Google home app as my settings will not open simply says couldn't connect retry ughhhhh!

It's not clear what's happening. What do you mean by "my wife changed her email"? Do you mean she is starting to use a new email address that is different from the one she was previously using to log into the Google Home app? Who set up your Google Nest "home/structure", you or your wife? Is your wife's new email address also a gmail address? Are you able to log onto the Google Home app but are NOT able to access Settings? Can you access the home.google.com website?

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app on your phone? You don't lose any settings; you just sign back in after reinstalling.

If you can sign onto the Google Home app but cannot access Settings (getting a "couldn't connect" error message) and if you have deleted and reinstalled your Google Home app, that is a very odd problem. Perhaps you sound try contacting Support so they can review anything else that might have happened on your account:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

That's odd. When we've tried the contact steps (not recently), we usually get a callback within a minute or so.
