I cannot access the settings for the app just says couldn't connect retry

My wife changed her email and now I can not invite her to Google home app as my settings will not open simply says couldn't connect retry ughhhhh!

My wife has a new Gmail email I set up the home in home app and can not invite her under the new email as I can not get into settings on the app?
