Can't cast from any apps to any Chromecast devices

Whenever I try to cast from within apps (fite TV just spins and Pocket Casts makes the noise but never moves to smart speaker from my android (OnePlus McLaren).  On same wifi and rebooted phone multiple times.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Is this working previously? Have you tried to cast a video content from a different supported Chromecast-enabled app?

Give these steps a try:

1. Clear the cache and data of the affected apps.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the affected apps.
3. Reboot your Chromecast.
4. Use a different mobile device.
