Can’t connect light to my google home

I have an iphone 14, a google home, a smart lightbulb from Philips and a device to bridge the light to connect to the google home. My light is all set up but the google home doesn’t seem to cooperate. I am having issues to connect the philipps account to my google account, but I also use my google account to connect to the philipps website. I can’t seem to figure out if the issue is from Google home app or the philipps website/app

Hi @Monthlydread

Thank you for the timely post and the comprehensive information you provided. I understand that you are encountering some issues with the Phillips Hue Light connecting to the Google Home app. I am here to help you; let's work together to find a solution.

To assist you further, please provide me with the following information:

  • Is your speaker or display powered up?
  • Is your speaker or display successfully set up on your Wi-Fi network?
  • Are your smart light bulbs successfully set up on the same WiFi network?
  • If your lights are also set up in the device maker’s app, are you able to control your lights through that app?
  • What are you trying to control with your Philips Hue lights? (For example, turn them on or off, turn the brightness up, etc.)
  • Are any of the voice commands from Google Home working with your Philips Hue lights?
  • Have you recently made any adjustments to your WiFi network, Google Home, and/or Philips Hue setup?
  • Have you ever been able to control your Philips Hue lights via your Google Home?
  • Have you recently factory reset your Google Home or Philips Hue bridge?

Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Jeremy
