Can't logon to Nest account from android app

I have a migrated Google Nest account.  I can login to my account on both my Nest and Google Home apps on my android tablet (Galaxy A8) because they allow me to do so using my Google account/password.  However, I am attempting to login from two android devices (Sony TV and Skystream streaming box) using same app from Play Store.  These do not allow login using Google account login/password, nor does it give you the "forgot password" option.  I just get username or password incorrect.  Argh!  Anybody got a fix or workaround?  Thx!

Following. I'm having the same issue they need to add a sign in with Google button or allow migrated users an option to create a user name and password it seems like.

No I've tried everything in the article you post several times to login to nest on my chromecast with several emails in hopes I somehow created an account in a different email but when I'm logged in via my cell phone it gives me my regular google account email in the settings and when I try to login with it or reset its password it doesn't work.

Thanks for following up!  The amount of links and information in your provided article is a bit overwhelming.  One bit of information I did latch onto was where it stated after migration you would no longer have access to Nest through Google Play android app.  I have no idea when that was dated?

 

Assuming you are someone in the know, what I need to know is whether Google ever corrected this major deficiency and disservice to their customers, or come up with a workaround.  Eagerly await your response!  Thx!
