Cannot add family members to Google Home

Hi,

I have followed the instructions to add family members to Google Home. (So, they can view my cameras).  I sent the invite from my Google Home, they accepted the invite, and they successfully became Google Family Group Members. Their "Accept Invite" link does NOT take them to the Google Home app. 

So, when I open my Google Home app, they still show up as "Invited", and their icons are grayed out.

When THEY open their Google Home app (with the same Gmail account as the invite email), they do not see any of my devices.

I have searched high and wide for a solution with no luck.

My google account is a personal account (not Workspace), and we have made sure we are using consistent Gmail accounts to log in.

To assist you with the best solution, I would like to get a bit more information:

  • Is the Google Home app completely updated on all devices?
  • When they clicked on the link, did they see any error message on the Google Home app screen?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried? If so, which steps have you tried already?
  • How many members do you already have in your home?
