In the past 6 months both Disney+ and HBO Max have stopped casting to my TV via Chromecast.
Prime, Criterion, Netflix all continue to cast successfully.
Apps are up-to-date, both Chromecast and my iPad (18.5) are on the same wifi.
When attempting to cast, logos for both apps appear on my TV screen but then the throbber cycles for a minute, the logo screen drops and then the cast fails.
Last week I completely reinstalled Chromecast but no change. Disney+ and HBO Max fail; all others cast successfully.
Any tips appreciated! I’m very frustrated.

I don't have HBO so cannot test that , but Disney cats just fine here on android. You mentioned you use iOS , it may be a network setting as iOS has a number settings you have to enable / disable to ensure casting works right.
You need to be sure your phone has local network access for Disney Plus and HBO enabled , and of course be ok the same wifi network.
