Devices control not working properly

So. Lately, in addition of smart life devices moved to "connected to your account" section, I can't control any device from the Google home app anymore.

When I tap a tile to turn anything on or off, the tile reacts, then after few seconds goes back to previous state, but the device remains as it was after first tap.

At this point I don't know if a light is on or off anymore unless I check. But What's the point then?

I tried with another account connected to same home and from that one seems all is ok.

I tried everything, clear data, logging off and back on, relink third party services, redo the voice match, restart all devices, router.. whatever.

I'm sick of Google home.

Pressing and holding the tile will update the status of the device when you go to that device's page.

Smart Life bulbs work differently to other brands in Google.

You can change its brightness and colour without turning it on which is probably why you get inconsistent control.

Smart Life/Tuya devices aren't top quality devices so you have to expect inconsistent results.

You said you restarted all devices...did that include your phone?

Ma no.

All was working great with smart life devices until not so long ago. Now nothing works.

And from another account, same house, same devices, same everything all works as it should

thanks for letting me know those are not top quality devices. It's what i can afford. And from their App everything works great and never have problems,  so for me they are good enough. If using google home ecosystem means i have to spend money to have a light turning on and off then i use manual switch or use smart life app. I've spent quite enough money on nest hubs that doesn't do that much more than act as a timer lately.

Guess google nest hub are supposed to be top quality devices. They are worse than smart life's.

i restarted phones too and cleared cache and data for google, google play services and google home. That logged me off too....so had to log in again and still same issues.

Google home sucks, i don't need someone to tell me that google is great and smart life devices are cheap.

Thank you.

Smart life devices can be controlled from a **bleep** webpage. Google can't handle that. It can't handle what you can perfectly do from a stupid web page just by logging in with account. doesn't look that complicated.

So don't tell me google home it's great and smart life sucks.

I never get  inconsistent results with smart life devices or app.

I get them with top quality Google devices and app

Hi there,

Thank you for posting in the community. I see you're experiencing trouble controlling your smart devices into the Google Home app. I truly understand how frustrating this must be, especially with your smart lights, and I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you've already taken. I also want to thank, @SmartHomeH-TAGS for the additional input. Let's work together to find a solution.

Your feedback is vital here. The "tile bounce-back" behavior you’re describing (where the app reacts but then reverts) is exactly the kind of technical data our engineering teams need to see.

I'm documenting your specific case—highlighting the fact that the integration works on one account but fails on yours—to bring attention to this as a high-priority account-sync bug. We want the Google Home app to be a reliable bridge for all devices. Your experience will be shared with the team so they can investigate further for future updates.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Byron

I contacted google home support via email.

Other than blaming my router settings or the smart life devices or whatever they can blame they  do nothing.

I showed them that in my settings devices are allowed to communicate directly on the lan..and they answered telling me i should turn off IP isolation. Which is not even a setting present in the fritzbox router if not for guest account.

Why would everything work on smart life app? why would it work from another account on same wifi network? I even installed alexa and all is working there.. guess i will have to swap to amazon. What can i say? Good job!

I give up. you just won't fix anything or even admit you screwed google home.

I'm sick of google home.. I'm sick of having to move back my devices every other day...when they won't even work properly anyway

Congratulations

They just asked me to reset all my non google devices cause they have no idea how to figure out.

Can you believe it? Those people have no idea. I would break scenes, routines, automations, everything.

and i should do that for them? cause google home app doesn't work and they can't find the cause.

Really? They are out of their minds if they think i would reset dozens of devices that work.

i'm speechless
