Eph thermostat app and home not linking

I have the Eph thermostat app installed on my pixel 7a and have logged in NP, 

When I try to link the app with Google home, it finds the app ok but doesn't do anything when selected only says can't reach Eph thermostat please try again.

Any help or support would be great

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m truly sorry the Eph app is not linking to the Google Home app; I know this is very important to control your thermostat. Help’s here!

To provide you with the best assistance, please provide the following information: 

• Is the thermostat showing online in the Eph app? If so, can you control the thermostat?

• Is the thermostat a recent model, or is it an old model?

• When you mentioned you had logged in to NP, what did you mean with NP?

• Do you have any Google Home devices?

This information will help to provide you with more accurate information. In the meantime, please follow these troubleshooting steps: 

• Check for updates to the Google Home app and your mobile device's software.

• Perform a restart on the mobile device and the router to refresh the connection. 

• Make sure both your Google Home device and third-party thermostat have a strong Wi-Fi signal.

• Try linking the Eph account to the Google Home app again. Refer to this article for instructions: Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.

• If possible, attempt to link the Eph app from a different mobile device using the same Google account.
