Error code na023 with Nest connect

I have gone through all the threads related to nest connect na0023 error and tried everything. But it is still not connecting. Need help in resolving this issue.

Nest connect was connected and then it went offline. I tried to rec0nnect/add the device and when clicked light blinks greenish/blue for few seconds then turns yellow and blinks 5 times and then nothing happens. Tried factory reset and nothing after that. Keeps giving me NA0023 error. Please help in resolving this issue

Hi ameyacool,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

There are multiple factors you must have in consideration in order to get your Nest Connect paired with the Nest app. Let’s go through them so you can get your Connect back up and running.

Have you tried placing your Nest Connect into a different location/outlet before? I’d appreciate it if you could change it’s position, but in the meantime, I suggest you make sure your Bluetooth is on and is not connected to any other Bluetooth device. You can turn it off and on again, or you can try turning on airplane mode, then turn Bluetooth and wifi on.

Just ensure your Nest Connect, alongside any assisting device you’re using to pair it, is close enough to the router to rule out any interference and that you've removed the Nest Connect from the Nest app.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel.

 Hello Angel,

I have tried all that already and it is not working. Still keeps getting the same error. One thing to note, that after about 24 hours (or lets say I tried it in the evening it gives code na023, then i stop and try it again next evening then at first it gives na003 error and then subsequent re-tires it keeps giving me na023 error). Not sure if this matters but thought of stating the same.

Hi ameyacool,

Thanks for your response.

I see you already tried some troubleshooting steps. Since your Nest Connect can’t connect yet, we need to determine what’s the reason why it's not getting paired in the Nest app.

Are you able to create a mobile hotspot with another device? The main goal would be for the Nest Connect to connect to this network instead of your home’s Wi-Fi to see if there’s something not allowing it to go online, since you’ve mentioned it went offline at the very beginning.

If setting it up with a hotspot doesn’t make a difference, you can create a new home structure in the Google Home app and set up your connect in there to determine if there are other devices that don’t allow it to set up. You can do this by.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Settings and then Add.
  3. Select Home.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps.

Let me know what the results of these steps are!

Regards,

Angel.
