I use G-Suite as my primary account (gmail, my drive, etc). I also have Google Nest Wifi devices configured under Google Home. My phone (Pixel 4a) is primarily the G-Suite user.
I want to add Nest Webcams but have run into the restriction that G-Suite users cannot use Home or Nest. So I have a secondary Gmail account, an ordinary Gmail account (not G-Suite). I would like to switch Home and Nest to this user, and use "switch account" on the Android phone to control them.
The problem is that my G-Suite user cannot "invite" my plain Gmail account to the Home account. I get error message "Can't send invite right now". Or I suspect ever, as waiting doesn't fix this.
How should I proceed? Should I delete all traces of the Home/Nest stuff from my G-Suite user, and re-create it from scratch with the Gmail account?

No. Created a second Gmail account, and use various Google tools to switch users when necessary.

These restrictions on G Suite accounts don't make sense. My whole family has had G Suite accounts for many years. We just switched from Hulu to Google TV and we can't use our G Suite accounts to access Google TV. Makes no sense to me.

Hi, S0Eric.
The GSuite restriction can be difficult to work with if that's what your primary accounts have been. I'm sorry that's caused some frustration with you. This is something I can pass along to our internal teams as a suggestion to allow for in the future, but there's no current way to work with the GSuite accounts, as I'm sure you've found. If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know.
Thanks.

I've read a number of forum posts where people are confused and frustrated by these limitations. If I understood the reasoning for these restrictions, I'd be able to respond accordingly.
I initially set up my Google wifi with my gsuite account, and now I can't invite my wife to manage it. Similar issue with YouTube TV. These are major annoyances for my family.
Thank you for your response and any help you can provide.

For those that are using GSuite accounts to manage things at Home, things will be limited, but there are options. This article walks through how you can enable the most possible in regards to features, but standard accounts are still the preferred and best way to manage Home and connected devices. Here's that help article: https://bit.ly/3mtCRnW.
Thanks.
