Gemini for Home not loading in app

I signed up for an got accepted for Gemini for Home (got the print and the email). I then clicked through the prompts but didn't realize I was already signed up for Home Preview. Now I "half way" have Gemini in that I can ask about my cameras, but there are no Gemini assistant settings and I still see the old Voice assistant settings. Further none of my speakers have flipped to Gemini. I made sure I also signed up for the Gemini AI pro and linked it to my Home account. I left the Home Preview but still stuck. What do I do?

I see you’re having trouble with Gemini for Home not loading correctly in the Google Home app. It appears to be partially visible for your cameras but isn't working on your speakers and there are no Gemini voice assistant settings. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken, and I’m happy to help.

To assist you better, please provide a few more details:

  • Which specific speaker models are you using? (Here is a helpful article to check Google smart speakers and displays).
  • Is the email address with a subscription to the primary owner of the Google Home structure? If it is a shared/secondary member, the speakers often won't "flip" to Gemini.
  • Where are you located?
  • Are both your Google Home app and your speakers currently running the latest software versions?

A recommendation: Try saying, "Hey Google, sync my devices" to one of the speakers. Sometimes this forces a refresh of the account permissions and triggers the switch.
