I have 40 wifi enabled RGB lights linked to my Google Home account using the Magic Home app.
I have a Nest router wired to my ISP Gateway. The Nest router is set to Bridge Mode
Here is what I have tried so far, unfortunately without any improvement:
Overall, the problem seems to be specific to the routines, as direct commands to the lights via Google Home are working fine.
Thanks a lot for your assistance.

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.
I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi again, Garrett!
Yes, I can use some help with this one. I have tried everything I could think of to no avail.

Hey there,
Thanks for the information.
Just a quick clarification, so the issue that you're having is just that the lights are turning off at a slow pace?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,

Correct, the lights are turning on or off one by one at a slow pace, but only when the command is issued via a routine.
The same group of lights will respond instantly if accessed directly, either via the room defined in Google home, or by using a generic voice command (ie: "lights off" in the room where the Nest mini is, will get the lights to react instantly). The response time is also instantaneous when controlling the lights via the native app (magic home)
The issue is specific to the routines involving the Adjust Scene function.
To confirm, I just created a test routine where I interact with the lights by using "Adjust lights, plugs, and more". This works fine.
But if I use "Adjust Scene" to the same effect, in the routine, the lights will react very slowly.
It would seem that the google home routine is "reading" the queue of actions in the scene very slowly.

Did Garrett ever solve this for you Jeff? Or did he just vanish

Hey there,
Sorry to hear about the issues around this that you're still having.
I would suggest visiting our Google Assistant Forum and writing to them there as this is a question that they would be able to help answer since it deals with routines.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,

I have the same exact problem. Thank you for wording this so precisely. I wouldn't have been able to. I've tried EVERYTHING. About to switch to Alexa as my neighbor has no problem whatsoever with magic home connections.

Thanks Garrett, I'll post on that forum.
Mark, in my case, the issue appeared around Sept 2021. The response time of the lights was nearly instant prior to that date. Maybe this could be tied up to an update? But I haven't been able to confirm.

Hey there,
That definitely is strange, as I look back, any updates that were in September of 2021, definitely wouldn't have changed anything to do with Routines or with the lights.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,

Sounds like we might have hit a dead end then.
It is quite surprising though, I have seen a number of users reporting similar issues.
I'll keep an eye out for possible solutions.

Hey JeffV,
I'll go ahead and pass this along to our engineering team as feedback too.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
