Hi there. My Google Home app does not work on my Pixel 4a 5G. I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times, cleared cache and data etc.. I have just had the worst experience on the help chat with Google Home people passing me to Google Pixel people and Pixel people passing me back to Home. Hopeless. My Home devices all work fine and the app actually works on my iPad (ironically), but when it opens on my phone it is just blank and then I get a message saying: "'Oops, we're having trouble loading this screen. Please ensure that you are connected to the internet and' and that is as far as the message goes! I have one Google account with email etc. and all my home devices are linked to that account. I can control my devices from my phone. So, for example, I can link to my speakers via Spotify and control from there. Only issue is I cannot see the devices in Google home and change any settings etc.. Also annoying that when I use 'OK Google' command to control one of my home devices the phone also responds.

I tried posting but it was deleted. The bug with the Google home app has been known since 2018. The app can essentially corrupt your main account. I've had a open support ticket for 80 days with no help or ETA for a fix. Good luck

Third time I've tried to post.

Great. It finally worked. The error message is because your account is corrupted. It's a know bug since 2018 with no fix and no ETA for a fix. I've had an open support ticket for three months with no luck.

Check this thread. Looks like it's a similar issue.

Hey folks,
It looks like we have come to a solution so I'm going to be locking this thread. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to create a new thread.
Have a great day.
