Google Home connection with Bosch Smart Home

Hi Michael1958,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear your Bosch Smart Home devices are showing as offline in the Google Home app. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've already taken. Don't worry, I'm here to help.

Let's start by removing the devices from the Google Home app again. After that, please try these steps to troubleshoot the Google Home app itself:

Here is how:

  • Clear App Cache and Data: Over time, apps gather cached data that can sometimes become corrupted and cause problems. Clearing this data can often resolve these issues.
  • Check App Permissions: Make sure the Google Home app has all the necessary permissions enabled. Restricted permissions can sometimes prevent the app from working correctly.
  • Verify Internet Connection: The app must function properly with a strong and stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Please double-check your connection.
  • Restart Your Device: A full restart of your phone or tablet can often clear temporary glitches and refresh the system's memory.
  • Delete and Reinstall the App: If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling the app completely and then reinstalling it from the app store. This can resolve issues caused by corrupted installation files.

Once you've completed these steps, try adding your Bosch devices back to the Google Home app.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenny
