Hi @xtremeleafan,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're seeing a persistent and confusing prompt in your Google Home app to set up a "Nest Max Hub." It may be unusual for the app to present a configuration option that doesn't fit your current device or needs. Don't worry, I'm here to help.

This behavior in the Google Home app often suggests a lingering data entry, a cached setting, or a synchronization issue. It's usually related to how the app is displaying information rather than indicating a problem with a physical device you own or its availability.

To help me better understand why this prompt is appearing for you and to find the most efficient solution, could you please provide some additional details?

  1. What is the exact wording of the prompt you're seeing in the Google Home app? (e.g., "Set up Google Max Hub," "New device found," etc.)
  2. Does this prompt appear every time you open the app, or only under specific circumstances?
  3. Do you own a Google Nest Hub Max, or have you ever owned one in the past?
  4. Have you recently removed any devices or "Homes" from your Google Home app?
  5. What version of the Google Home app are you currently using?
  6. What type of mobile device are you using (e.g., iPhone model, Android phone brand and model), and what operating system version is it running?
  7. Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps, such as closing and reopening the Google Home app or restarting your phone?

Once I have a clearer picture of your situation, we can try some steps to refresh your Google Home app and hopefully clear this unwanted prompt.

Regards,

Kevin
