My Google nest hubs still list connected TP-link casa devices. I have already disconnected TP-link casa from my Google home. I have removed the account from every Google account in my home. I have also synced all devices. However the nest hub still lists lights that were formally connected through TP-Link casa.  Every time I try to turn a light on or off I get the error message that Google home cannot connect to TP-Link casa. It will also say it's trying to turn on three lights when there are actually only two lights. I cannot seem to remove this ghost device. It is also no longer listed on the Google home app as being a part of my home. For example, the app says there are only two lights in the living room. But my nest hubs seem to think that there are three. The speakers seem to believe there are three as well, even though the Google home app only shows two. Please help!

Hey Bobby,

Thank you for the post. I'm sorry you are having this issue with your Google Home app. I know how frustrating it can be that when smart home features aren't working. I do have a couple of questions just to make sure that I understand whats going on.

  • When you mentioned that you removed the TP-Link Casa lights, did you go to the settings in your Google Home App and then remove the device?
  • Do you still have access to the the devices?
  • If you try to use use Google Assistant from another device, are you able to successfully turn on your new lights?

I do have a couple of idea's that we can try if you haven't tried them already.

  • Sign out and back into your account.
  • If you do have your old lights, I was thinking you could try to reconnect them, and then disconnect to see what happens.
  • Factory Reset your Nest Hub

Okay, let me know how those steps go. If they don't work, we can look into diving into some other options.

Thank you,

James
