Google home says philips lock pin is incorrect

I have a philips lock successfully connected to Google home.  When I try to lock the lock, Google home asks for a pin.  Even though I have verified the pin through the philips app, google home says the pin is incorrect.  I tried unlinking and relinking, and the problem remains. Any suggestions?

Hi there! Double-check that the PIN you set in the Philips app meets Google Home’s requirements (e.g., length/format). If it’s correct, try restarting your devices or updating both apps. If the issue persists, reaching out to Philips/Google support might help.

I'm having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

The PIN code used for unlocking your Philips smart lock via Google Assistant is managed within the Philips Home Access app (or the relevant Philips smart lock control app). You can find and manage these PINs by navigating to:

  1. Open the Philips Home Access app.
  2. Tap on 'Profile' (or a similar user settings section).
  3. Look for and tap on 'Works with' (or a section related to connected services).
  4. Select 'Google Assistant'.
  5. Here, you should see the PIN codes associated with each of your connected Philips door locks. You will likely have the option to view and change these PIN codes within this section.

This means the PIN isn't set directly within the Google Home app during the linking process, but rather is generated and managed by the Philips service itself. The Google Home app then likely uses these Philips-generated PINs for voice unlocking.

The PIN google assistant is asking for is different than the one you use on the keypad of your door lock. See the details of how to find the PIN you need for google assistant in my reply.
